The legislation (through the Internal Control Regulations) often requires that dangerous work is documented with clear and understandable procedures, and it is absolutely crucial that the operator familiarizes themselves with these *before* work begins.
Is there a need to translate the HSE instruction for foreign speakers?
Absolutely. The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority has a strict requirement that important training must be understandable. If the employee speaks Lithuanian, a Norwegian safety instruction is not always sufficient.
